Our Team

About
Watts Humphrey
Watts joined the company as Partner in 2014 and leads the overall efforts in corporate direction and strategy. Watts has been the driving force behind our newly energized marketing and branding efforts. He has a love of organization and efficiency and can sometimes be spotted rearranging the breakroom fridge. Naturally, he's in charge of all company pools be it the World Cup, March Madness, or Fantasy Football. His day begins with a 5:00 a.m. boot camp and an hour long commute (on a good day) and he still arrives cheerful and ready to give 110%. On Saturday he can be found sharing a Daddy/Daughter breakfast with a princess, followed by an afternoon of nerf gun battles, golf, soccer, or horseback riding. If he really likes you, he will share a podcast.

About
Kevin Hinshaw
Kevin is Mike’s son, and together they started Woodbridge in 2003. His background in sales at Century ignited his love of fine furniture (if it wasn’t genetic) and his training there prepared him to grow our customer database to the friendly network of dealers we have today. Rest assured if you have met Kevin, he remembers you and probably your dog’s name too. He juggles sales management, hospitality orders, coaching YMCA basketball, and rooting for the Tar Heels. The only person we’ve met more driven than Kevin, is his daughter, Taylor (look out world).

About
Mike Hinshaw
Mike likes to pretend he’s retired, and after building this company for 15+ years following a longstanding career with Baker, he certainly deserves to. However, his valuable insight is still called upon often and he appears at market as our own fan favorite. The rest of the year he is referred to as “Papa” and known to hand out dollar bills for baskets made by his grandson, Max, in YMCA basketball. He is a devoted husband to his wife Jean (even built her a She-Shed during Covid) and very active in the First United Methodist Church of Mocksville.

About
Preston Key
Preston is normally seen as a blur of motion as he’s whizzing around putting out fires and expediting orders. Operations is his catch-all, but that pretty much means he just gets it done. If he’s giving you a hard time, it’s because he loves you, and also, he really needs you to do what he was just teasing you about. Fun fact: He loves 90’s Rap, will embrace any excuse to use a drill or a chainsaw, but can also make a mean omelet & drives a Smart Car. His wife, Cass, has the SUV (someone has to cart around the three kids).

About
Melissa Harrison
Melissa loves to laugh and joke around, but she needs a closet for all the hats that she wears. She will sleuth down to the root of any problem, and has the resolve to handle accounts payable. Her follow through is uncanny, and she genuinely loves helping people. She has a “therapy chair” next to her desk, occupied by Kevin several times each day. Her favorite part of summer is stepping into the air conditioning after Girl Scout camp, but Elizabeth is growing up too fast, and she’s a good Mom. Good Moms also watch Ozark, right?

About
Joe McCambridge
Joe is introverted and going to hate this type of promotion, but he is one of the most talented furniture designers in the industry. He worked with Mike for many years at Baker, and has known Kevin since he was in middle school. Joe has technically drawn the concepts for several of the design masters, Barbara Barry and Sir Humphrey Wakefield to name drop a few. A graduate of the Kendall College of Art and Design, his Michigan design roots have grown deep through experience. All of our products are his babies, but none more loved than his two at home, Megan (an HPU Freshman) and Will.

About
Cass Key
Cass has worked with Woodbridge off and on for years, first in retail as a designer with a high-end firm in the Washington, D.C. area selling our products and then later as our sales representative in the DC/MD/VA territory. When we hired her husband, Preston, in 2016 they moved back North Carolina near their alma mater, High Point University, where they met. Cass gets to do the fun stuff, like social media, showroom design, and product development. If she wasn’t so nice we would hate her.

About
Wendy Sullivan
Wendy (Disney alias: Goofy) comes to us with 20 years of experience in the furniture industry, starting with advertising and then moving on to residential and hospitality manufacturers. She loves High Point Market and the talented and fun people she’s met along the way. Her number one love is her daughter, Emma, who is a Senior at North Carolina State University who aspires to be a professional artist one day (or maybe it’s her husband, they can duke that out later). She claims she can’t remember her first CD, but we’re pretty sure she still jams out to Fleetwood Mac, while crocheting, when no one is around. Her favorite Woodbridge piece is the 1187-10 Chairside Deed Box so she can hide her overstock of yarn.

About
Monica Williams
Monica is a joy to be around. She is the first one to laugh, crack a joke, and ask about your day. She brightens the office with both her bright red hair and easy-going personality. While she’s part Customer Service and part COM, she’s entirely herself and we couldn’t have a more dynamic person to answer the phones, respond to inquiries, or get to the bottom of something faster. If you need something done in this office, Monica’s the one to do it! Her greatest joy is her nieces, nephews and her dog Olive. Spoiling them is a top priority! (Everybody needs an Aunt like Monica, us included!) While her job here at Woodbridge keeps her BUSY, she always makes time for others, and it’s something we appreciate every day.

About
Sabrina White
We laugh that every employee here has either 0, 1 or 3 kids and our newest hire, Sabrina fits right in. Mom to Kaylee, she brings her smile & spunk to everything she does. Whether releasing orders for Preston or answering the phone, this “outgoing introvert” is quietly getting the job done. She’s the first one to jump in to set up the tents for the company picnic, but also the first to play the yard games we had set out. I think it’s that beach-going mentality shining through. Just give her some time in her garden and ideally a chauffeur and she’s a happy camper.

About
Savannah Brown
We met Savannah through her mother (Melanie with Lucky Fish Art, our beloved showroom partner). It only took about 15 minutes for us to realize we needed to make a seat for her on this bus, thus the position of Marketing Director was born. She is the new voice of our social media channels and has taken our engagement & communication to a whole new level. It turns out that she’s actually good at, well everything from event planning, to trivia creation, to creating vegetarian delights, to HPxD kickball, but one of her greatest gifts is encouraging others.

About
Angie Davis
Angie’s a new addition to our dynamic customer service team. She is a quick study and becoming a huge asset around the office. She has two fur babies at home (actually Daisy is quite a grown lady and Miss Ruby at 2 years old is keeping Mama young) She is an avid reader and most recently finished “Confessions of a failed Southern Lady” by Florence King. She would prefer to be reading from a screened in porch, relaxing with her family in the mountains; a feeling that takes her back to her roots. She has a not-so-secret side hustle making gourmet cheesecakes, and all the proceeds from that are spent on concert tickets. Name the band….my money’s on Angie has seen them live.

About
Michell Simpkins
We are so fortunate that Michell found her way to Woodbridge via Shelba Johnson trucking. She is overly familiar with the last mile of the furniture journey and brings that insider perspective to our claims department. She has one of the toughest jobs at Woodbridge but does it with a cheerful attitude and the utmost organization. She runs a tight ship at home too, and we could all take a few parenting tips from her book. Her Tribe: Megan Reeves 27-travel nurse; Taylor Reeves 25- Airforce-South Korea—married to Lanah; Hunter Reeves 23-Airforce-Little Rock, AR—married to Trinity; Andrew Reeves 21-welding-home; Eliza Simpkins 6 almost 7 (July 13th)-Sassy Princess-home. Not to mention the pets :Titus, Calvin, Sushi, Poppy & Max! If money and time were both unlimited, she would home school Eliza and they would travel the world together and eat bunches of crab legs on her Birthday!

About
Jimmy Flores Venegas
Jimmy is a girl Dad, and it’s because behind that big burly man is such a kind heart. Those 3 precious daughters adore him and are clearly his pride and joy. Jimmy is not big on social outings, unless its sports related and then look out. He gave Kevin and Zach a run for the money during our team bowling event, and he plays soccer every weekend for fun. We bet you don’t know the one thing that Jimmy and Savannah have in common? They both own German Shepherds except that Jimmy takes it a step further and breeds them. Puppies anyone?!

About
Zach Hodges
Zach is an old soul and one of the most self sufficient people we know. He can either hunt it, catch it, grow it, make it, or fix it. It’s that simple. He and Courtney are new home owners and they are busy filling their lives and time with animals to love & household projects. From canning to fence mending they do it with a smile…together and Zach can we just say “marry that girl” wink wink. Aside from running a super busy warehouse and answering just a few of Preston’s daily directives, we think he’s got the secret to life’s happiness all figured out.

About
Chris Young
Chris loves to play Santa for his nieces and nephews and that just exemplifies his giving nature. He is a DO-er and I’m not sure he ever sits down. He’s a super handy guy to have around and is always fixing this or that, mowing grass, or hauling something somewhere, but his actual job is running our spray booth for our custom paint department. Boy are we lucky to have him as an integral part of our team. Fun fact: he and his wife Jodi also happen to grow the most beautiful “forever susan Asiatic lilies”.

About
Matt Staton
Matt is our resident movie buff. If he takes his wife’s Birthday off work, you might find them catching 3 matinee’s back to back, and we love that about him. He has a quiet strength and resolve that is highly admirable. His job is hard, but he never complains. He has the best smile and loves to joke around with the guys in the warehouse. His newfound hobby is golf, so if you stop to pick up some furniture and hear someone yell FORE, it’s probably just Matt practicing his swing.

About
Nick Jarrett
Nick always has his head up, looking for ways to make things better. Whether personally or professionally he is always striving for improvement. He’s an ambassador for change, but also quick to hop on the order picker and get the job done. He’s a Marvel fan (who isn’t) but also a collector. He loves to eat good food, but loves to work out even more and can often be found with his giant water bottle nearby. He and Savannah are duking it out for the Hydration trophy. Before Woodbridge he worked in theft prevention at Walmart and has some pretty interesting stories to tell.

About
Brenda McDowell
We are convinced that Mrs. Brenda either knows or has worked with EVERYONE in this community, and she stays in touch with most of them because she cares and she is unforgettable in that way. She is our resident baker/dessert maker and is called upon for almost every staff Birthday celebration. It’s REALLY hard to pick a favorite, in fact if she was only to make one more dessert it would probably create a war at Woodbridge. She is an accomplished cutter/sewer and a fantastic problem solver. If it can be done, Brenda will figure it out.

About
DeDee Bullard
DeDee is a very skilled upholsterer, but that is only one of her many and varied talents. She is a whiz at trivia and CARRIES our team during the Woodbridge outings. She is super crafty (anyone remember the pirate ship pumpkin or the ugly sweaters…this woman set the bar real high), she is a great cook, loves to garden, read, & enjoys a nice cold IPA. She is a sponge, always learning and growing and it’s astonishing what she can recall, from music to TV to current events, we are team DeDee all the way, except for bowling, then we don’t claim to know her.

About
Keith Carter
Keith has run his own company (very successfully) and we are lucky to have him here now, sharing his knowledge, making our COM team more efficient, and leading by example. Keith is raising his granddaughter, a role he welcomes and does just as well as he does everything else, but it’s just one more reason for us to love him. In his downtime, he loves to ride his motorcycle and play baseball with his grandson, while wearing his WCU hat (of course). And NO, Preston, you cannot buy his bike.

About
Micaela Benitez Hernandez
Micaela is coming in here busting up our “odd number only” children rule because she has 4 children. They are DEFINITELY keeping her busy with competitive sports every night and every weekend. People always say I don’t know how you do it, but I really don’t know how she does it. She has the cutest personality and joyful smile and her work ethic is uncanny. We are so lucky to have her on our growing upholstery team.
